The Austrian Empire and, after the Compromise of 1867, Cisleithania, the Austrian half of the monarchy; until 1871 the same stamps also served Hungary. The run begins with the arms type of 1850, in kreuzer, and ends with the last Emperor Karl definitives of 1918.
